i've got his dvd and i believe that if you like it instantly you know what's happenin. if you don't you don't.
that said, there's no chops, no independance theories, no technique information.
there's only, the best kick ass "what the music calls for" playing i've ever seen on an instructional video.
i'ts a take on whats needed by someone who has all the chops, knowledge ect, but realizes that there is sooooooooo much out there on chops and technique but so little on just playing for what the song needs,....what music needs these days.

I've got the Jordan DVD and love it. Some great playing and some cool insights from guys like Levon etc.
The Beacon Theatre show is also killer.
He really is a king of sound/touch/feel.
Yup, his DVD is very cool and musical - the production as well. The sound hasn't the highest priority.
